The Brunswick Topsham Swinging Bridge was built in 1892, connecting workers living in the Topsham Heights neighborhood with the sprawling Cabot Mill, now known as Fort Andross. It was designed by John A. Roebling, the same man who designed the much more famous Brooklyn Bridge.
