Artist's Description

To say that I made the trip to Boston simply for this shot wouldn't be true. I made the trip to meet up with two other photographers that I admire and to explore the area with an eye towards future expeditions. This was my starting location. I wanted to hit a few of the major viewpoints of the skyline before I start exploring more intimate views of the city. Believe it or not, I love cities, the hum of activity, the culture, the energy, you just can't get that anywhere else.

This is Fan Pier Park, part of the Boston Harborwalk. It's at the epicenter of a construction boom happening right now on the waterfront in South Boston, just across from the Financial District. Luxury condos and high rises are going up everywhere, and true progress is being made in regards to sound urban planning and attention to green building practices. It's an area with blatant prosperity, a forward-looking futuristic vibe that you won't find in many other places in New England, certainly not much...
